In adiition to my core group, a number of new students have joined Sip and Paint in the past year or so. Kathy Kreith-Undi and Susan Maaks are here year round and have become regulars at our weekly sessions. Dave McClenaghan and Marie Comeau spend the winter months here and bring their enthusiasm to the group.
Kathy Kreith-Undi
Kathy joined Sip and Paint a year ago as a first-time painter. Her no-fear approach to painting is inspiring. She boldly attacks any subject matter and as you see by the number of works below, she is a prolific painter with a readily identifiable style.
Susan Maaks
While Kathy Kreith-Undi works boldly, Susan Maaks work carefully and with painstaking precision. I like to think I taught her to be a picky perfectionist like me, but maybe she was already that way. She definitely loves dogs as much as I do. The painting of Boots and Scruffy shows her attention to detail, particularly the way she rendered Scruffy's fur. And her most recent watercolour, just finished in December, 2023, my little Quinn on the beach!
David McClenaghan
Dave McClenaghan comes every winter from the Ottawa area. His background in construction, design and woodworking is reflected in the precision of his watercolour and ink sketches. Dave works without fear and always with the desire to learn more and hone his skill.
Marie Comeau
In the four months that Marie Comeau has been here she's produced these five watercolours and developed her distinctly gentle style in watercolour. She returns to Nova Scotia next week but will be back in seven months. I know she will carry on painting while back in Canada.

Cheryll Viteri
Cheryll Viteri and Louise Andrade, two old friends, joined Sip and Paint in 2020. Sadly we lost Louise to cancer in December of the year. As' Cheryll lives out of town, she's been unable to attend during the past year.

Works in Acrylic
The works shown below were created by students who have been with me for about three years. Suzanne Butson, Jairo Intriago, Cynthia Kelley, Tony Rich and Cristina Sequeira have become skilled painters and valued friends over the years. Our classes are our weekly escape. Most of the works are copied from other artists, some are from photographs and some are their own creations. If you wish to inquire about purchasing a piece of art, click here to contact me and I will put you in touch with the respective artist. Click on thumbnail to see full image.
The paintings below are from my beginners' group. All of them started taking classes within the last year. Many began with the usual lack of confidence but the work shows how they overcame their fear and proceeded to produce powerful paintings. Click on thumbnails to see full image.
