My latest mural just finished in August, 2023 for a friend and student who lives on the beach south of Canoa. She wanted something vibrant and tropical to blend in with her surroundings. Lots of fun to do!

The mural painting started in 2013 at the Donkey Den Guesthouse in the beach town of Santa Marianita, south of Manta, a major port in Ecuador. The largest white wall became a stand of bamboo complete with a painted bamboo hand railing to match the actual existing one. On a smaller wall I added a scarlet macaw with bromeliads.
Afterwards I was contracted to paint the Moongate in the upstairs hall of a friend's house in Canoa. She wanted to walk out of her bedroom and feel like she could walk into her secret garden. Van Gogh's "Street Cafe at Night" is the entire wall (3m. x 5m.) of the outdoor entertainment area at the house of friends on the beach near Canoa.
The last row of images shows a large mural that I was asked to design and paint at the entrance to my beach town of Canoa. The town council was cleaning up the area at the northern approach to town and asked me to do this as a labour of love, which I was happy to do.
